Behsud shooting refers to the shooting on January 29, 20211 when Afghan National Police opened fire on protestors in Behsud district, Wardak, Afghanistan2. The incident left 11 dead and 31 others injured3. The residents of Behsud staged a protest against the appointment of a new District Chief of Police4. Initial reports suggested Alipoor‘s5, a local commander, armed men had opened fire on security forces which were later rejected by the probe conducted by Afghan Ministry of Internal Affairs.
