AFFAIRS IN AFGHANISTAN

The revolt of the Hazara tribes against the Ameer of Afghanistan has been renewed. Intelligence was recently received that the rising had been suppressed by the Ameer’s forces, but further fighting is now in progress.
The general in command of the Ameer’s troops has died suddenly. It is believed that his death was caused by poisoning.
